How Ranked Choice Voting Works in Alaska
How it works
- You rank candidates in the order you prefer (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and so on).
- If your first-choice candidate is eliminated, your vote moves to your next choice.
- This continues until one candidate earns majority support.
Your vote, your choice
Every voter’s ballot matters.
Every ranking is voluntary.
You decide how much — or how little — you want to rank.
A quick note from me
If I’m not your #1, I’d be honored to be your #2.
I’m running to put Alaska first — not politics, not parties, not special interests.
Thank you for being a part of Alaska's democracy!
