How Ranked Choice Voting Works in Alaska

How it works
  • You rank candidates in the order you prefer (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and so on).
  • If your first-choice candidate is eliminated, your vote moves to your next choice.
  • This continues until one candidate earns majority support.
That’s it. No tricks. No wasted votes.
